    The original NPR

    Extemp Central creates a season-long national race.

    Logan Scisco developed the National Points Race at Extemp Central, grouping national-circuit tournaments into tiers and scoring finishes across the season.

    Ten completed editions were published, ending with Robert Zhang's 2024-25 championship. Read the original archive.

  2. 2025

    The pause

    The published race ends after 2024-25.

    Extemp Central stopped publishing the NPR. The 2025-26 season had no contemporaneous national points race.

  3. 2026

    Independent revival

    Saras Totey automates the race.

    The 2025-26 reconstruction proves the system against official evidence. The 2026-27 edition begins the autonomous live race.

    Rules are versioned, source evidence is preserved, and ambiguous results are withheld instead of guessed.
